How to Record Audio in Windows Movie Maker 2019

Follow the steps below to record audio from a microphone that's connected to your computer. 


Step 1: Open the record mode

Click the icon of "Microphone" at the top of timeline.The audio recording windows will open in a workspace.

Step 2: Record audio setting

In the Audio capture device box, choose the microphone or whichever device you want to use for recording sound. 

Depending on your audio card, this option may be named differently. Some device manufacturers do not include a system audio recording option.



Step 3: Record

Click Start to begin recording. As you record sound, you can see the frequencies reflected as color bars in the center. When you're done, click Stop . If you need to record more audio clips, simply repeat this step. 

The audio files will be showed at the single record track with blue bar.
